On Sunday, October 11th at 1 PM, join Le Petit Theatre Executive Director Nicole Hackmann and Artistic Director A.J. Allegra, along with WYES Executive Vice-President Dominic Massa and Peggy Scott Laborde, as they launch a brand new series, Setting the Stage: in Conversation with Le Petit Theatre and WYES. Errol Laborde and Alan Smason will join as panelists.
This inaugural event will focus on WYES programming in New Orleans and the Golden Age of TV, one of the themes of Laughter on the 23rd Floor, currently running at Le Petit. We will be viewing clips of classic and forgotten New Orleans television as we discuss the dawning of the TV era both locally in New Orleans and nationally across the United States.
The moderated panel will be an hour-long event with time at the end for questions and conversation with our audience.
The event is free, but we do ask that you REGISTER HERE so we know how many people to expect.
If you have not yet seen Laughter, and you are interested in staying for the 3 PM matinee following the panel, please click here to purchase your tickets. All WYES members will receive a discount code for the production.
We are excited about this new collaboration and will be hosting Setting the Stage for every Le Petit Theatre mainstage production. Discussions will revolve around a central theme in the currently running show, but will highlight New Orleans connections and nonprofit partners.
