Le Petit Theatre is seeking a Technical Director (TD) to work in our scene shop and theater leading the scenic construction, load-in, and load-out for our production of Born with Teeth. The TD will report to our Production Manager, collaborate with the Creative Team, and is responsible for the supervision and execution of scenic builds, scenery load-ins, and scenery strike\/load-outs. Additional pay is negotiable for candidates able to create build drawings based on scenic ground plans, and renderings.<\/p>\n

Timeline:\u00a0<\/strong>Typical daily work calls are 8 to 10-hour days with a mandatory 1-hour walk-away meal break. Work locations will either be at our scene shop in Central City or at Le Petit Theatre, located in the French Quarter.<\/p>\n Total Expected Hours: 80 to 100 hours<\/strong><\/p>\n Pay:\u00a0Independent contractor agreement for $4,000.<\/p>\n Successful completion of this job will result in additional TD offers on future productions at the venue. The ME reports to the Production Manager and Lighting Designer and will lead a small team of 2-3 technicians to execute the hang and focus of the lighting plot. A member of the full-time team and reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Manager is responsible for the fundraising initiatives\u00a0of a theatre that produces a five-show subscription season plus additional off-subscription and educational programming.<\/p>\n About the role:<\/p>\n The Development Manager shall work with the Executive Director to oversee the contributed income goals for the theatre through the annual fund, government and foundation support, corporate sponsorship, major gifts, and special events including an annual gala. They will be an articulate and enthusiastic spokesperson for the organization and will communicate the importance of its programs to a wide range of constituents.
