We present the highest quality theatrical performances to entertain and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the vitality of the arts community.<\/p>\n<p><!--\n\nLe Petit Th&eacute;&acirc;tre du Vieux Carr&eacute;, a 501(c)3 organization, is passionately dedicated to presenting the highest quality theatrical performances to entertain and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of the greater New Orleans area. By offering a full season of contemporary and classic dramas, comedies, musicals, and children&rsquo;s productions, as well as master classes and special events, the theatre embraces the work of the city&rsquo;s professional artists both onstage and backstage, all the while nurturing and mentoring up-and-coming talent with its array of outreach programs.\n\n--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>History<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>New Orleans\u2019 most historic playhouse, Le Petit Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Du Vieux Carr\u00e9, has played an important role in our nation\u2019s theatrical history since 1916. Located just off of Jackson Square, we have called our current stage at 616 St. Peter Street home since 1922.<\/p>\n<p>Since moving into its current home in 1922, the \u201cLittle Theatre\u201d has entertained thousands of audience members in a wide array of dramas, comedies, and musicals. Hundreds of actors, designers, directors, and technicians, both locally and nationally, have shared their talents to make Le Petit a true shining star in the theatrical world.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Commitment to the Community\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Le Petit Theatre is committed to celebrating and including the diverse identities, cultures and history that make up our unique and rich community.\u00a0It is our goal and commitment to open our doors wide and to actively create and\u00a0maintain an inclusive and diverse environment on stage, backstage and in our\u00a0audiences.
