THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

October 20 – November 6, 2022

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, this comedic farce is filled with chaotic fun. Winner of Best New Comedy at the 2015 Lawrence Olivier Awards, the play follows the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society in their effort to put on a production of “Murder at Haversham Manor,” a 1920s murder mystery, but nothing can go right. Will these accident-prone thespians make it to the final curtain call?

THE COLOR PURPLE

January 12 – January 29, 2023

Tony and Grammy-nominated musical, based on the Alice Walker novel, The Color Purple set in the early 20th century American South spans the life of Celie, an African American woman with dreams of escaping her husband’s control to reunite with her loved ones. Despite being oppressed, Celie embarks on a remarkable journey toward empowerment and self-love complimented by a joyous musical score.

CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF

March 9 – March 26, 2023

The 1955 Pulitzer-Prize winner for Drama, Tennessee Williams’ iconic classic, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, follows the familial struggles of the Pollitts in their patriarch’s Mississippi Delta plantation home. Maggie, a young ambitious in-law, is determined to solidify her role in the family, but her husband Brick is preoccupied with past longing. This production marks the third iteration, over the last century, of presenting Cat at Le Petit Theatre.

HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED

April 20 – May 7, 2023

Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson, How I Learned What I Learned is Wilson’s poetic one-man autobiographical show journeying through love, adversity, and self-discovery in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Originally performed by Wilson himself, How I Learned What I Learned is a stunning self-portrait of one of the strongest voices in the American Theatre.

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME

May 18 – June 4, 2023

Based on the novel by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time follows the mathematically gifted, fifteen-year-old Christopher as he uncovers the mysterious murder of his neighbor’s dog. Amid his investigation, he discovers hard truths about his family while navigating social norms and communication with others. This seven-time Olivier Award-winning play is a thrilling adventure!
